Lithography – this process where the ink lays flat on the paper for a less formal look. This process is also called offset printing or flat printing. A transfer of an inked impression from a plate to a rubber cylinder occurs, and then that impression is transferred to the paper. As the name implies, the image created is flat to the surface of the paper. Flat printing is ideal for large blocks of color and gradations of hue.
