Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto is to close March 28th.

Toronto is home to the 50-year-old Four Seasons brand, which was founded by Isadore Sharp. The 31-storey luxury hotel The Four Seasons, located on Avenue Road in the Yorkville district, is closing March 28th shortly before the new flagship Four Seasons Hotel opens on Bay Street at Yorkville.

Despite being downgraded by the American Automobile Association from 5-Star to 4-Star in 1997, being housed in a 39-year-old building with limited amenities and the influx of new luxury hotels in recent years, the hotel maintained its cachet with luxury travellers, movie stars, brides and meeting and event planners.

We look forward to their new building openning and will keep you posted as soon as we have pictures to post!
