We couldn’t miss the opportunity to speak about the Red Carpet and all the glamour that is associated with this fabulous night. There were so many beautiful women that graced the carpet, it’s hard to narrow down to just a few. Although you might be thinking what does this have to do with brides – the red carpet’s gown silhouettes, accessories, and hair play an important role. These principles can be easily adopted by any bride.
We couldn’t possibly mention everyone so here are some of our favourites as seen on www.FabSugar.com:
One of the most stunning gowns was worn by Stacey Keibler. It was made by Marchesa. The gown’s dramatic silhouette really spoke for itself, so minimal drama was needed in the hair and jewellry.
Our favourite necklace was worn by Natalie Portman – platinum and diamond V-shaped cluster necklace, paired with platinum and oval diamond drop earrings (are reported by PRNEwswire to be 5.76 carats each). Everything was provided by Harry Winston. Simple silhouette so that the jewels were really the focal point of the overall look. Her gown was a vintage Christian Dior haute couture gown from 1954.
Angelina Joli always look really put together. This stunning gown was by Atelier Versace. Given the structured nature of her gown’s neckline and the full skirt, she had fabulous loose curls in her hair and those bold red lips were the clear balance points in her look. Angelina was blinged out by Neil Lane. From the platinum and cushion-cut diamond drop earrings (20 carats), platinum and cushion-cut diamond ring (15 carats) and a pair of platinum and diamond pins worn on the back of her waist (25 carats). She really dazzled.
Emma Stone was really elegant in that flowing red gown by Giambattista Valli and side swept hair. Very soft but it makes a statement with the bow high up around the neck. Her stunning clutch by Louis Vuitton and earrings complete her look.
Penelope Cruz’s look could be transferred for a bride by simply changing her dress colour to white. She wore a Giorgio Armani periwinkle organza gown. Everything was balanced. Her jewellry was all from the Chopard collection. Platinum and pear-shape diamond necklace (56 carats), platinum and diamond cluster earrings (15 carats), and platinum and fancy-shape diamond line bracelet (43 carats).
We can’t miss mentionimg Melissa McCarthy from the movie Bridesmaids who wore Marina Rinaldi. She was stunning. We loved the curly updo and that the accenting elements on her dress was the right balance to her fuller figure.
