Often times we can find inspiration for weddings from various places that don’t necessarily have to be 100% wedding related. During my visit to New York city, I walked the multi-level store of Macy’s in New York City and got inspiration from their china department. Here’s are my favourite vignettes.
Let’s call the first one “Pretty in Pink”. I find this extremely feminine and romantic. I could very well imagine this as the setting for a bridal shower in someone’s very own backyard or even a cake and champagne reception at an estate manor property.
The first thing is to set the stage:
“Pretty in Pink Gazebo”
The second thing is to select the colour scheme. Here they have used pinks and whites. You might not see it very well from my photo, but the white chivari chairs had a skirting made of pink tulle. The centrepiece is made of peonies.
The third thing is the flatware, glassware and china. I really love this pattern and could very well see it used in someone’s home during a festive Easter brunch, a get together with girlfriends or even on a daily basis. One can never have enough beautiful china in my humble opinion. Note how the menu card matches the colour scheme and how the black ribbon around the napkin helps anchor everything together. You might also check out the stemware as well; no water marks on these pretty babies.
Now for one final close up shot of these lovely dishes.
