Ada + Danny – Blooming Cherry Blossoms (Banquet Hall)
When Ada and Daniel were dating, they took many romantic strolls in the park. They spent countless hours, sitting under the trees and dreaming of what their future would someday have in store for them. After Daniel popped the question, they quickly realized that although each of them had planned many other functions successfully without assistance, for their wedding they would need to bring in some professional help.
Together with Wendy, they developed a strong cohesive look between the traditional church ceremony held at the Bloor Street United Church in downtown Toronto and the wedding reception at the banquet hall. Wendy received an honourable mention in the Florist Review Magazine from this wedding for the floral decor design and production.
Each of the guests’ tables was graced with a 6 feet tall cherry blossom centrepiece arrangement in pink and whites. It really felt like spring had really sprung in the venue in the middle of January. Guests dined underneath the canopy of cherry blossom branches and it really felt like the outdoors had been brought inside.
Wendy even helped Ada stylize her bridal look because another friend who recently got married ended up wearing the same wedding gown that Ada had purchased. From the custom made wrap, to the elbow length gloves and the bold sparkling statement jewellery pieces – mutual friends of these to brides never realized that their friends wore the same wedding gown.
Since Ada is Chinese and Daniel is Korean, both the traditional Chinese tea ceremony and traditional Korean Paebaek tea ceremonies were performed to the delight of all the guests. Everyone also thoroughly enjoyed the hearty traditional 10 course Chinese wedding banquet feast. However, they also save enough room to sample the sweets table at the end of the evening. The beautiful images were captured by The Art of Weddings.
