Beth + Huy – Cherry Blossom of Love in a Banquet Hall
Beth and Huy reached out to Wendy after they secured the wedding banquet hall and Chinese caterer. Beth still strongly felt that they needed to bring someone on board that would have the creative edge to design a wedding that was both romantic and elegant. Huy was initially skeptical and figured that wedding planners were only out to get couples to spend more money, until he saw Wendy in action and realized that there were many savings along the way.
Cherry blossoms are a very popular Asian wedding theme. This was something that Beth was really drawn to. Therefore their invitations had a little bling cherry blossom highlighting the location of the venue. The Asian Fusion Weddings team also handled all the custom made attire that included the Bride’s wedding gown, her Chinese red dress, the bridesmaids pink flowing dresses, and the Mother of the Bride’s two dresses in addition to all the stationery components, wedding flowers and wedding décor.
They had the traditional Chinese pick up the bride door games played at a hotel downtown with photographs taking at the University of Toronto. Their Vietnamese tea ceremony was held at the venue just prior to the wedding ceremony itself where Beth wore a traditional Vietnamese wedding dress. For cuisine, they hosted a traditional 10 course Chinese wedding banquet meal. During the table toasting, a guests were surprised by the lion dance troop that performed. As a surprise to the couple, Wendy arranged to have sparklers lit around the perimeter of the dance floor during the couple’s first dance unbeknownst to the bride and groom. Their beautiful images were captured by Dave Abreu Photography and Cloud Nine Creative.
