Elizabeth + Kelvin – The Four Seasons of Love (Four Seasons Luxury Hotel in Toronto)
Elizabeth and Kelvin initially met Wendy at the WedLuxe bridal show where she was an exhibitor. After meeting up for coffee a few weeks later, they brought her on to help plan and design their fabulous wedding at the new Four Seasons Hotel in Yorkville (downtown Toronto).
Early on, they were pretty decisive about who they wanted as part of their creative team. They hired Jackson Huang from Ikonica and Bruce Patterson from Cloud Nine Creative to capture their wedding day story as it unfolded. They also commissioned Deborah Lau-Yu from Palettera for all their stationery needs.
Elizabeth and Kelvin conducted the traditional Chinese tea ceremony in which Elizabeth wore her mother-in-law’s kwa (qipao/cheongsam) from when her mother-in-law got married. The craftsmanship that was put into this red Chinese dress was like no other. For the romantic wedding ceremony at Knox College at The University of Toronto, Elizabeth wore a Vera Wang gown and donned a pair of Christian Louboutin heels.
For all the floral and decor elements, they relied on Wendy to create something that was modern and clean, yet simple and elegant. Elizabeth and Kelvin didn’t want the flowers and decor to overshadow the tantalizing flavours of the cuisine that the Four Seasons had crafted for their guests. It was truly a wedding dinner reception with multiple late night stations that guests raved about for a very long time afterwards.
