Teresa + Roger – Vintage Vibe Outdoor Tent Wedding
Teresa was a referral from another friend in Toronto who had also used Wendy for full wedding planning services. Since Teresa and Roger live and work on the West Coast, they decided to bring on some professional assistance in making sure their wedding day was picture perfect for their outdoor tent wedding.
Early on, Teresa had visions of using a pastel wedding palette theme and wanted her Chinese wedding to have a touch of vintage feel. Wendy got down to work by creating a wedding story board that included a choice of colour palettes, various vintage elements and custom pieces that would blend together harmoniously.
Although Teresa and Roger had many wedding vendors that they initially considered hiring as part of the wedding team, they ultimately ended up selecting almost all the suppliers from Wendy’s preferred wedding vendor list. The colour tones of blush, off white and champagne were the finalized wedding theme colours. Working within their desired floral and décor budget, Asian Fusion Weddings was able to design and produce their wedding that featured blush colour peau de soie satin table linens, white chiavari chairs with gold chair pads, miniature succulents as the wedding favours, and lush looking centrepieces featuring hydrangeas and roses.
Wendy was able to collaboratively work with some of the couple’s own ideas and incorporate them into the wedding. One example would be their head table which was highlighted by the use of paper tissue papers flowers that provided an almost whimsical touch to the wedding celebrations. Wendy was also able to showcase the floral design from their invitation on to their ceremony programs and seating chart.
One of the best wedding games Wendy has ever seen was a Plinko game board made by their friends. It was used for the games played during the traditional 10 course Chinese wedding banquet meal and guests were both engaged and participated. Roger wow’d all the guests with his dance moves and singing talents during the reception festivities. The evening closed with a bang with a firework display that was fit for the new King and Queen of the night. Their stunning wedding images were captured by Stephen Sager Photography and Summerfield Films.
