The third part in the series for this gorgeous Canadiana wedding style shoot will feature some of our Canadian bridal elements of her attire. First Fluevog shoes – these aren’t your typical bridal shoes. However, they do absolutely have style. Fluevog shoes are Canadian designed shoes. They have been available to both men and women for over 40 years. John Fluevog has come a long way since his humble beginnings in 1970 as a partner in the Vancouver shoe store, Fox and Fluevog.
Thank you to RHYTHM PHOTOGRAPHY for these stunning images.
We just love the intricate detailing of this high heel shoe and the cut out pattern on the top.
Our next focus shifts to the the gorgeous bridal accessories provided by The Loved One. The ‘we” at The Loved One was born a few year ago when Antonia, shopping for her own wedding, found herself underwhelmed and uninspired by the accessory options available. She envisioned a shop devoted to beautiful bespoke accessories for like minded women looking for something a little different. After discovering a few select designers who work they were passionate about, Antonia and Scott poured their hearts into creating a unique online experience to showcase their thoughtfully curated collection. The Loved One was officially launched on Valentine’s Day, 2012.
Drawing on many years of experience in fashion design, styling and retail display, Antonia’s distinct vision is the foundation of The Loved One. With an uncompromising devotion to style and beauty, she loves helping clients realize their ideal look for their weddings and special events. The website, photography and all other visual elements are handled by Scott, who’s background in graphic design and art direction has come in very handy. The two work together (with the occasional unrequested assisted assistance of their cat Lulu) to create everything that is The Loved One.
A bride would not be a bride if she did not have the most exquisite of wedding gowns to wear. Ferre Sposa is a downtown Toronto bridal boutique that carries handpicked dresses in a variety of styles and sizes while keeping up to date with current fashion trends. The gowns come from fashion houses all over the world such as Pronovias, Allure Bridals, Maggie Sottero, Madison James, Casablanca and Aire by Rosa Clara and Kenneth Winston. Ferre Sposa gowns range from just under $1000 to $4200, with the average price being $1400-$2500. The boutique’s modern setting, over sized change rooms and staffs’ undivided attention provide brides an experience they will not forget.
Ferre Sposa’s team strives to make everything they do, “memorable”. This includes fostering a non-pressure, exciting and fun environment. It’s not about finding a dress for a bride’s body, it’s important that they get to know their Brides so that they find the dress that perfectly suits her.
If you are a bride and cannot decide if you want a veil or not, then you will really want to check out the selection at Luvyt. This photo on the right would not have been as romantic or dreamy without the cathedral length veil. If you prefer a more personalize approach to your bridal style, then how about hiring a bridal stylist like Hilary Cameron who helped us out on the day of the shoot.
Our stunning hair and make-up team was May Nguyen – If you are a bride who is not sure what bridal look you want, May is definitely one of your best resources and consultants. She will walk you through the process step by step and help you decipher and finalize your bridal look. She is a fun outgoing self inspired makeup artist from Toronto, Canada. After working over a decade in the Beauty/Fashion/Film Industry as Make Up and Hair Stylist, she has had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the top people in the industry. From Editorial Prints, TIFF, Commercials/Films , Music Videos to Brides – she’s done them all!
Many thanks to our model Logan Burke for coming to the set after a long night of work from the night before as well.
